In 2015, the NYC Department of Education launched Strong Schools, Strong Communities - a bold initiative to bring parity to the support NYC public schools receive as they strive to continually improve student life outcomes. Field Support teams partner with Superintendents and central divisions to further the chancellor's vision as outlined in The Framework for Great Schools. As part of the Strong Schools, Strong Communities approach, the Office of Field Support and Field Support Centers were created to provide principals with coordinated, strategic support, resources, and guidance. Each Field Support Center provides high-quality, differentiated support in Teaching & Learning, Business Services, Operations, Student services (safety, health, and wellness), English Language Learners and Special Education. |
